Job Title: Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineer (PE Required)

Their focus is on providing comprehensive geotechnical investigations, SOE (Support of Excavation) foundations, and a standard scope of geotechnical work for a variety of private sector projects.
Position Overview: They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and over 5 years of experience in the field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical investigations and foundation design, and will be responsible for managing and executing projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical investigations, including soil sampling, testing, and analysis.
- Design and oversee the implementation of SOE foundations and other geotechnical solutions.
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Perform site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical investigation techniques and foundation design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software and tools.
- Experience working on projects within the five boroughs of New York City is preferred.
