Job Description: Landscape Architect - Dallas, TX
We are seeking a talented and motivated Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team in Dallas, TX. As part of a leading design and engineering firm, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create innovative and sustainable outdoor spaces. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including urban design, commercial developments, parks, and residential communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, planners, and other professionals to develop creative design solutions.
- Prepare conceptual designs, master plans, and detailed construction documentation.
- Conduct site analysis, including environmental impact assessments and land use studies.
- Oversee project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling tools to create presentations and design deliverables.
- Manage and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
- Professional licensure (PLA/RLA) or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- 3-10+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture, urban planning, or related disciplines.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and landscape construction methods.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey design ideas to clients and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with regional plant palettes, Texas ecosystems, and climate-adaptive landscaping.
- Knowledge of LEED, SITES, or other sustainability certifications.
- Familiarity with land development, grading, and drainage considerations.
