The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of subdivision mapping, including final and parcel maps, records of survey, legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, corner records, boundary adjustments, and writing legal descriptions.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and prepare surveying and mapping documentation for submission to governmental agencies.
- Oversee the management and processing of survey data, including receiving, organizing, documenting, and exporting data from conventional and GPS field surveys.
- Utilize a strong understanding of engineering and land surveying principles applicable to design, geodetic surveying, urban planning, construction, right-of-way engineering, property acquisition, land division, and boundary determination.
- Analyze deeds, easements, title reports, encumbrances, and perform computations for traverse closures, adjustments, and field note calculations.
- Draft land surveying plans, maps, and exhibits using Auto-desk Civil 3D as per project requirements.
- Prepare, organize, and prioritize detailed and complex survey documents for review.
- Perform precise surveying computations, including advanced mathematical calculations.
- Conduct research to support the preparation of land surveying deliverables.
- Review and prepare corrections to submitted maps, plans, and legal property descriptions.
- Provide clients with relevant survey information and updates related to ongoing projects.
- Interpret and analyze legal descriptions.
- Compose detailed property boundary descriptions for use in legal documents such as deeds, leases, and agreements.
- Supervise or perform field surveys to define legal property boundaries based on evidence, recorded deeds, and title documents.
