Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GIS Team Lead to join their team in Brisbane. The successful candidate will lead their GIS team, manage spatial data, and support various heritage projects. This role requires a strong background in GIS, data analysis, project management, team leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the GIS team, providing guidance and support.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of spatial data for heritage projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Develop and implement GIS strategies and solutions to meet project requirements.
- Conduct fieldwork and site assessments as needed.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all GIS-related tasks.
- Stay updated with the latest GIS technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in GIS, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial data analysis.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in heritage management or a related field is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
