Position Overview
This position involves geological, hydrogeological, and environmental assessments. Responsibilities include conducting site evaluations, soil and groundwater sampling, performing environmental site assessments, and overseeing field operations. The role requires knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and the ability to lead and manage tasks safely and efficiently, both in the field and in technical writing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct soil and groundwater sampling, including drilling methods
- Perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
- Lead fieldwork and direct subcontractors
- Write monitoring and well installation reports
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations
- Mentor junior staff and ensure quality control
- Demonstrate leadership in safety and project management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or related field
- 3-9+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in geological research, sampling methods, and environmental laws
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with hazardous substance mitigation and environmental compliance
- Ability to work independently and lead teams in dynamic environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification and First Aid/CPR training
