Forensic Engineer - Structural Expertise Required

This is an exceptional opportunity that blends analytical skills with on-site inspection acumen within the structural engineering sector.
As a Structural Engineer at this firm, you will be working closely and performing first response property loss investigations for clients in the insurance sector. Working to determine cause and origin or structural failures in both residential and commercial sites. You will also be providing investigations and damage assessments for catastrophes such as storm damage, hurricanes and floods.
The Role:
- Undertake detailed forensic analysis to determine cause and origin of various building system/structural failures.
- Perform safety assessments post-catastrophe, focusing on structures affected by storm damage or other catastrophic events such as storm damage, hurricanes, and floods.
- Conduct thorough inspections leveraging expertise in both fieldwork and research-based environments.
- Provide signed and sealed detailed reports outlining cause and origin of damage to clients.
- Mange multiple projects and assumes responsibility for project execution within budget and on time.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding project status.
Skills & Experience Sought:
- PE Licensed in Georgia (multiple states preferred).
- Engineering Acumen: Proficiency in applying principles of structural engineering during investigation processes.
- SAFETY Awareness: Prioritise safe practices while conducting site surveys particularly following catastrophes which may present unstable conditions.
- Minimum 7 Years experience.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Strong analytical and field inspection skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experienced in structural design, analysis and inspections.
- IIBEC credentials (preferred).
