About the Role:
On behalf of a prestigious multidisciplinary engineering firm, I'm seeking a Forensic Architect to join their Phoenix, Arizona team. This firm is renowned for its expertise in forensic investigations, design analysis, and construction consulting. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to combine technical architectural skills with investigative problem-solving to deliver exceptional results for a wide range of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate building and architectural failures to identify root causes of defects or performance issues.
- Analyze construction documents, specifications, and designs for compliance and potential deficiencies.
- Prepare in-depth forensic reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations for remediation.
- Collaborate with structural engineers, construction consultants, and other experts on multidisciplinary projects.
- Provide expert witness support during litigation cases, including depositions and court appearances.
- Engage directly with clients to understand project needs and provide expert consulting.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards, building codes, and forensic best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Licensed Architect (RA) in Arizona or eligible for reciprocity.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in forensic architecture, construction consulting, or related fields.
- Expertise in building systems, materials, and codes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for detailed report writing and client interaction.
- Litigation support or expert witness experience is a bonus but not required.
- Ability to manage multiple investigations and prioritize effectively.
