Mission Statement:
As a Site Manager for our solar power substation projects, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations at the construction site, ensuring that all activities are carried out in compliance with project requirements, health, safety, environmental standards, and within budget and schedule. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver high-quality, on-time project execution, ensuring the successful installation of solar power infrastructure in substations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire construction site, including the coordination of daily activities for the installation of solar power systems at substations.
- Ensure that the construction process aligns with project schedules, scope, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Lead and manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective execution of work.
- Coordinate and monitor the procurement, delivery, and installation of materials, ensuring that all required equipment and resources are on-site when needed.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders regarding project progress, site issues, and updates.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the work meets both quality and safety standards; take corrective action as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations at the construction site, implementing and enforcing safe work practices at all times.
- Monitor and control project budgets, track project expenses, and ensure proper documentation for invoicing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical or logistical challenges encountered during the construction process.
- Manage site-specific risk assessments and ensure that all safety measures are in place, especially related to solar power installations.
- Ensure the timely completion of all project milestones, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and any delays or challenges.
- Ensure all project documentation, including progress reports, incident logs, and site records, are properly maintained and submitted in accordance with company standards.
- Manage the site commissioning and handover process, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided for the final project completion.
Your Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in site management, preferably with a focus on solar power projects or substation construction.
- Proven experience in managing the construction of renewable energy projects (solar power, substations, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of construction practices, safety regulations, and quality control in the context of renewable energy and substation projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage a diverse team and effectively liaise with stakeholders.
- Experience with project management tools and scheduling software.
- Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese (preferred).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project needs.
