Job Title: Project Manager
Mission Statement:
As a Project Manager, you will lead the execution of small to large and complex projects, ensuring that all activities align with company policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety, and environmental requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments. You will be the driving force behind the successful delivery of high-impact projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams and oversee project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring activities for both internal and external resources, ensuring all project goals are met.
- Define and manage project documents, including scope, financial plans, schedules, and risk management.
- Ensure the project follows execution best practices and company policies while actively monitoring and controlling progress.
- Analyze project critical paths, identify deviations or scheduling issues, and implement corrective actions to optimize resources.
- Prepare and deliver project reviews, analyze performance against the plan, and ensure the timely management of project costs, expenses, and invoicing.
- Identify, qualify, and manage project risks and opportunities, sharing lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure successful project close-out, formal acceptance, and acknowledgment by the customer.
- Maintain contract and claims management, procuring required services, materials, and equipment from suppliers.
- Serve as the key contact for customers, providing escalation management for project issues and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and maintain various project registers, such as risk, action, and quality registers.
- Ensure all health, safety, and environmental policies are followed, promoting a safe working environment and modeling safe work behaviors.
Your Background:
- Minimum bachelor's degree or 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Recognized project management training and certifications (e.g., PMP) preferred.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, and project scheduling tools.
- Excellent organizational and stakeholder coordination skills.
- 3-5 years of experience in a project management role, such as Associate Project Manager, Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or Project Engineer.
- Experience in high-voltage substation construction is a plus.
- Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese.
