We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team as the Mission Critical Data Center Program Lead. This fully remote role involves providing technical oversight, project management, and business development across North America, with global collaboration to deliver cost-efficient services for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design and planning of data centers, from small to hyperscale, managing multidisciplinary project teams.
- Design electrical systems for data centers, including power distribution, substations, HV/LV switchgear, grounding, lighting, and backup power systems (UPS/generators).
- Conduct power network studies, arc flash, load flow, motor starting, and relay coordination.
- Develop detailed designs, including load calculations, equipment sizing, and heat trace systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and project requirements.
- Manage project scope, budget, schedule, quality, and deliverables.
- Support junior engineers and assist with recruiting talent.
- Assist in business development, client meetings, and proposal preparation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited).
- 8-15 years of experience, primarily in data centers and mission-critical sectors.
- Proficient in REVIT, AutoCAD, SKM, EasyPower ETAP, and Bluebeam.
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes, hazardous areas, and California Building Code (CBC).
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
- PMP certification and construction experience are a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
