Job Title: Electrical Designer
Location: Raleigh
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000
Summary:
We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our MEP engineering team. In this role, you will perform a variety of engineering tasks and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary design team to develop innovative and technically sound solutions that meet project requirements and comply with applicable codes. Proficiency with BIM and Revit is essential. You will design power, lighting, and fire alarm systems for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities, and coordinate with other building design disciplines. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of construction documents and familiarity with building codes.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Electrical Engineering.
- 1-3 years of project experience within an A/E, A/E/C, or consulting engineering firm.
- Understanding of other building systems disciplines and the ability to coordinate various design elements between disciplines.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and general building codes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- EIT certification preferred.
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency with REVIT and working knowledge of discipline-specific software packages such as Visual Lighting.
