We are looking for a Preconstruction Director to oversee the lead and oversee the department for a reputable mechanical contractor.

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and development for direct reports to ensure team and organizational performance objectives are met.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal team members and groups.
Actively build and maintain relationships with key customer accounts and professionals.
Possess a detailed understanding of project delivery methods, including plan spec, design-assist, and design-build.
Have a thorough understanding of contractual procurement methods and reimbursable terms.
Partner with the design team to guide and/or lead the design effort for early involvement projects. Oversee the successful and well-organized transition of sold projects to operations teams.
Create accurate conceptual budgets based on minimal information. Review all estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness before formal proposals. Produce project estimates using prescribed forms, industry-recognized techniques, and standardized processes.
Communicate all project issues through the appropriate management channels in a timely manner.
Oversee bid-day vendor and subcontractor analysis to ensure project requirements are clearly understood in the preconstruction approach.
Maintain project probables in the craft labor forecasting system to ensure an accurate reflection of business unit capacity.
Have a detailed understanding of mechanical, plumbing, process, and cleanroom architectural requirements.
