Role Summary:
The Design Architect for Senior Living Projects will be responsible for leading the design and development of senior living facilities. This role involves managing all aspects of architectural design, ensuring that projects are delivered with the highest standards of quality and meet client objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong design skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in senior living design.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the architectural design process for senior living projects, from initial concept through construction.
Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to develop project requirements, schedules, and budgets.
Produce detailed architectural drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Oversee the coordination of engineering disciplines, including structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, address issues, and ensure quality control.
Manage project documentation and communication, including RFIs, submittals, and design changes.
Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design staff.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural design, with a focus on senior living or similar projects.
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other architectural design software.
Strong understanding of senior living design principles and best practices.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Experience with project management and coordination of engineering disciplines.
Architectural licensure is preferred but not mandatory.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field is required.
