Corporate BIM Director

Position Overview
The Corporate BIM Director will spearhead the company's Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) initiatives, driving their seamless integration into all project workflows. This role focuses on enhancing construction efficiency and aligning BIM/VDC strategies with corporate objectives, particularly within electrical construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a company-wide BIM/VDC strategy aligned with organizational goals and project delivery standards.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of BIM specialists, fostering innovation and professional growth.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline construction processes, with a focus on optimizing electrical construction workflows.
- Workflow Oversight: Manage BIM/VDC workflows, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project-specific requirements.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate the efficiency of BIM/VDC processes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for all BIM-related issues, ensuring seamless collaboration with project teams, clients, and consultants.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of construction experience, with a strong preference for expertise in electrical construction.
- At least 5 years of direct experience in BIM/VDC management, including implementing workflows and software solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of BIM technologies, including Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals.
- Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills with a history of effective multidisciplinary teamwork.
- Flexibility: Availability to travel to job sites and corporate offices as required.
