Position Summary
LVI Associates is hiring a Commissioning Specialist responsible for performing tests and inspections on basic mechanical, control systems, and other related systems.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct tests and inspections on basic mechanical, control systems, and other relevant systems.
- Verify test report results and assist with troubleshooting commissioned equipment as needed.
- Help correct deficiencies identified during the commissioning process.
- Coordinate with other trades and vendors as required.
- Inspect and verify equipment/system installations according to project documents.
- Utilize the BIM 360 Field tool for startup and commissioning tasks.
Requirements for Success:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction documents (mechanical drawings, specifications, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Basic understanding of control systems.
- Preferred knowledge of other building systems (fire, plumbing, lighting, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
- Familiarity with the BIM 360 Field tool.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of basic experience in programming, setting up, and testing HVAC control systems.
