Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commissioning Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process for data center projects, ensuring all systems and components are designed, installed, and tested according to the client's specifications and industry standards. The Commissioning Project Manager will work closely with project teams, contractors, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage commissioning projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement commissioning plans, schedules, and checklists. Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless execution.
- System Testing: Oversee the testing and verification of all data center systems, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire protection systems. Ensure all systems are fully operational and meet performance criteria.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of commissioning activities, including test results, inspection reports, and issue logs. Prepare final commissioning reports for clients.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all commissioning activities comply with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular quality checks and audits.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues during the commissioning process. Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and contractors.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the commissioning process. Provide regular updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Training: Provide training and support to client personnel on the operation and maintenance of data center systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commissioning, preferably in the data center industry.
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire protection systems.
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in commissioning software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
