An employee-owned global tech giant is seeking an experienced Commissioning Owner's Representative Project Manager to oversee the commissioning process for a hyperscale data center project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both data center construction and commissioning processes. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage the commissioning process for data center construction projects from inception to completion.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between the owner, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee and ensure all commissioning activities meet the required standards and specifications.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including commissioning plans, progress reports, and final commissioning reports.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and ensure commissioning activities are completed within the allocated budget.
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all commissioning activities.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support throughout the commissioning process, leveraging your expertise in data center construction.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data center construction and commissioning.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP, LEED, or CxA are preferred.
- Skills: Strong project management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in project management software.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of data center infrastructure, including electrical, and IT systems.
