Role Overview:
They are seeking a upcoming Structural Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will contribute to their mission of delivering innovative and practical solutions in the structural engineering domain. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of qualified technical structural engineers to produce high-quality PS&E construction documents, while striving to become a specialist in this field.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate proficiency in aluminum-and-glass curtain wall systems, window systems, masonry, stone, precast concrete, and unitized/panelized façade systems. Understand the performance capabilities of barrier walls, rain screens, and pressure equalized systems, along with the application of sealants, flashings, thermal insulation, and air/water/vapor barrier materials.
Interpret architectural and structural drawings, wind tunnel test reports, and technical specifications.
Develop new architectural details or remedial details and specifications for exterior building enclosure systems in collaboration with clients and consulting staff.
Conduct on-site observations, perform existing wall condition surveys, and carry out diagnostic testing in line with industry standards.
Communicate effectively and work both independently and as part of a team.
Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in using MS Word, MS Excel, and Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Willingness to travel as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering required.
EIT or PE preferred.
1-6 years of relevant work experience.
Building design experience using the International Building Code.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
CAD and/or Revit experience is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
$90,000-$120,000 based on expertise.
