Job Description: As a Business Valuation Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assessing the value of businesses for various purposes, including mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax planning, litigation support, and ESOP advisory. You will work closely with senior analysts and partners to deliver high-quality valuation reports and provide insightful analysis to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and valuation of businesses across various industries.
- Prepare detailed valuation reports and presentations for clients.
- Perform market research and analyze industry trends to support valuation conclusions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights.
- Assist in the development of financial models and projections.
- Provide valuation services for tax gift and estate planning.
- Support litigation by preparing valuation reports and expert testimony.
- Advise on Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) valuations and transactions.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to discuss valuation findings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in business valuation, financial analysis, or a related role.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, ASA, or CPA are a plus.
