Partnered with an award-winning full service engineering firm that's looking for a Structural Engineering Leader. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of extensive experience in leading structural design and engineering teams across Tennessee. Proficient in providing senior-level expertise in all aspects of structural assignments, from conceptual engineering to construction administration. Skilled in business development, project management, and fostering client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead structural design and engineering initiatives throughout Tennessee, ensuring successful development and delivery of projects.
- Drive business development and marketing efforts to secure future clients and projects, contributing to the growth and sustainability of the firm.
- Provide senior-level structural expertise, overseeing conceptual engineering, detailed designs, and contract document preparation for construction projects.
- Serve as Project/Program and Contractual Manager for various structure-related projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Produce comprehensive construction documents, specifications, and accurate cost estimates,optimizing project efficiency and resource allocation.
- Lead internal and client meetings, presentations, and plan approvals, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Direct project staff and sub-consultants, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Act as a liaison between clients and the firm, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout project life cycles.
- Execute rigorous QA/QC processes to validate the completeness and accuracy of design work, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Offer engineering judgement and initiative within the field of Structural Engineering, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Recruit, train, and mentor entry-level and junior structural engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- PE license in Tennessee or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 15+ Years of bridge design experience
- Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in proposal development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
- Experience with Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) and local municipalities.
