We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Geologist with experience in the Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA) regulations to join the team in Seattle, WA. This consulting firm is highly regarded for their commitment to sustainability and excellence within the environmental field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geology, environmental science, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience in conducting environmental assessments and remediation projects under MTCA guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field investigations, soil and groundwater sampling, and remediation activities in compliance with MTCA regulations.
- Perform geological and hydrogeological assessments to evaluate potential environmental risks and develop effective remediation strategies.
- Prepare technical reports, including Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, feasibility studies, and remedial action plans, in accordance with MTCA requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, regulators, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Stay current with developments in environmental regulations and best practices related to MTCA compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in geology, environmental science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience working in environmental consulting, with a focus on MTCA compliance.
- Strong understanding of MTCA regulations and experience applying them to environmental projects.
- Proficiency in field sampling techniques, data analysis, and environmental reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact professionally with clients and regulators.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Experience with GIS software and environmental modeling tools is a plus.
