About the Company:
A leading contractor with a strong track record in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects across Texas is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Superintendent to oversee the construction of a Water Treatment Plant in Corpus Christi.

Position Overview:
As the Superintendent, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the construction site, ensuring that the Water Treatment Plant project is built safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate all field activities, manage site personnel, and ensure that the project progresses according to schedule and within budget. Your leadership will ensure the project meets all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within scope.
  • Lead, direct, and coordinate field staff, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of project tasks.
  • Oversee daily work progress, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise on the job site.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, maintaining a proactive safety culture on-site.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project plans are followed and milestones are met.
  • Maintain and update project schedules, ensuring proper sequencing of activities and minimizing delays.
  • Monitor and manage quality control, ensuring that all construction work meets project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in managing project costs by tracking expenses and ensuring that work is completed according to budget.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily reports, manpower, materials, and equipment usage.
  • Ensure that the work site remains clean and organized, following environmental guidelines and regulations.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring effective communication with all project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, with at least 3 years on large-scale infrastructure or water treatment plant projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, site safety, and water treatment plant systems.
  • Proven experience managing field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal construction and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • OSHA certification is preferred.
