The Role
As a Civil3D Specialist, you will work under the Engineering Manager, leading design teams across site civil, land development, and public infrastructure projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing civil infrastructure for renewable energy projects, including solar arrays, battery energy storage systems, hydrogen fuel stations, and biogas power plants.
- Developing digital terrain models for solar arrays and access roads using AutoCAD Civil3D.
- Analyzing site conditions, restrictions, easements, and power capacity for new photovoltaic projects.
- Drafting construction plans for PV solar layouts, electrical diagrams, grading plans, drainage systems, erosion control, and access roads.
- Collaborating with engineers, design professionals, and permitting specialists.
- Communicating with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies on engineering and site development matters.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D.
- Experience with ESRI ArcMap or similar mapping tools.
- Knowledge of PVSyst (preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the photovoltaic (PV) sector.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
