Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Substation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of physical substation experience and hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license. This role involves leading the design, development, and implementation of substation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage substation design projects from concept to completion.
- Perform detailed physical design of substations, including layout, equipment selection, and system integration.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Conduct site assessments and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and contractors.
- Develop and review technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in substation technology and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in physical substation design and engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Strong knowledge of substation equipment, systems, and design principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
