Senior Structural Engineer

My client who is located in Scranton, PA structural and civil engineering firm that is growing and seeking a candidate to fill a Senior Civil Engineering role.

Ideal candidates will be a registered Professional (Civil) Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in the design and management of land development projects. Candidates should have experience with project management including building and maintaining client relations and working with a team to successfully complete land development projects.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. Candidates must have experience performing the following:

  • Design of subdivisions and land development submissions
  • Zoning and approvals process
  • Stormwater management/calculations
  • Site design, grading, and erosion and sediment control plans
  • Site utilities
  • PennDOT/DEP permitting/NPDES
  • Hydraulic calculations
  • Cost estimating
  • Assisting department head in project proposals and managing contracts, QA/QC and design oversight
  • Mentoring/managing junior engineers and designers
  • Ability to attend evening meetings

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • EIT certification required, PE preferred
  • Minimum of +5 years career experience.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Self-motivating and ability to multi-task while maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to act with business integrity and professionalism'
  • Applicant must be able to commute to Scranton, PA location. This is an in office position
