We are currently seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Project Manager to oversee and guide the execution of complex construction initiatives across the electrical power sectors. This leadership role spans multi-disciplinary project scopes, including civil, mechanical, and structural components.
As a high-level contributor, the Senior Project Manager partners closely with company leadership to provide strategic input on major project decisions and business direction. This individual plays a critical role in leading large-scale EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects, while also mentoring and developing junior project staff.
Position Overview:
This role involves full project ownership from inception to completion. You will serve as the primary point of contact for key clients and act as a central figure in the coordination of internal teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Depending on project requirements and client relationships, reporting lines may vary and could include direct engagement with senior executives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead large-scale EPC infrastructure projects with oversight across engineering, procurement, budgeting, safety, and construction execution
Direct project development and execution strategies, ensuring milestones are achieved on time and within budget
Develop and nurture long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle
Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards across all job sites
Manage bidding processes and contribute to proposal development
Analyze and control project financials, forecasts, and cost tracking
Mentor and oversee Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers assigned to your projects
Facilitate cross-discipline collaboration between civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural teams
Provide on-site support and project oversight during key construction phases as required
Prepare regular project reports for leadership and clients
Contribute insights to corporate business strategy based on field and client feedback
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or related discipline
At least 10 years of experience managing complex construction projects, particularly in high-voltage transmission or substation work
Experience with electrical system construction, design, substation or switchyard layouts is an advantage
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team-building capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet creation, formatting, and basic formula use
Familiarity with project management platforms like Vista (Viewpoint) is preferred
Must meet driver eligibility requirements for project-related travel
Must be able to pass all standard drug testing and background screening as required by clients
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; this role is not open to applicants requiring sponsorship now or in the future
