Job Description:

Overview: An award winning firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Senior Level Architect to join their team in Durham, NC. The ideal candidate will be a licensed architect with a strong background in healthcare design and project management. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare regulations, building codes, and the ability to lead complex projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Planning: Lead the design process for healthcare projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations. Develop innovative and functional design solutions that meet client needs.
  • Project Management: Oversee all phases of project development, including initial client consultations, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior architects and design staff. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs and projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, particularly those specific to healthcare facilities.
  • Documentation: Prepare detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Licensed Architect in the state of North Carolin is REQUIRED.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare project design and management.
  • Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design software. Strong knowledge of building codes and healthcare regulations. Excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present ideas and designs to clients and stakeholders.
