Position Overview: We are currently partnered with a best-in-class Data Center General Contractor seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Construction Project Manager to join their team, overseeing the development of a state-of-the-art Data Center Campus in New Mexico. This individual will act as the number two on the project, supporting the Project Director in ensuring the successful delivery of this high-profile construction project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of the construction project from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project managers, engineers, and construction teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
  • Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Resource Management: Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and labor, optimizing resource allocation to meet project demands.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, budgets, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve project issues and conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of construction are met.
  • Project Close-Out: Conduct final inspections, commissioning, and project handover activities, ensuring all deliverables are met.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
  • Skills: Exceptional project management skills, strong leadership abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction methods, techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Certifications: PMP, LEED, or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
