The Role:
As a Senior to Principal Urban Planner, you will lead and manage complex urban and regional planning projects across various sectors. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing strategic planning advice, managing stakeholder engagement, and ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage urban and regional planning projects from inception to completion.
Provide expert advice on planning policies, development applications, and land use strategies.
Engage with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
Prepare high-quality planning reports, impact assessments, and feasibility studies.
Lead the assessment and facilitation of development applications, ensuring compliance with planning regulations and frameworks.
Mentor and support junior planners within the team.
Stay updated with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
About You:
A degree in Urban & Regional Planning or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in urban planning, with a strong background in statutory and strategic planning.
Proven experience in development assessment, approvals, and facilitation.
Previous experience in a consulting environment is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of Queensland's planning framework and legislation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Registered Planner (or working towards PIA accreditation) is an advantage.
