Senior Mechanical Engineer
A personable and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer is needed to join a multi-disciplined design team. The position involves assisting in Commercial and Federal projects and requires familiarity with state-of-the-art design and various state and local regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise projects to ensure they meet commitments related to time, quality, and communication. Work directly with clients to establish project schedules and set expectations.
- Assist in manpower projections and scheduling of work.
- Manage, direct, and supervise mechanical engineering staff in the execution of specific projects to meet schedules and timely completion of projects. Schedule and lead mechanical production staff meetings.
- Assist in annual reviews of mechanical staff.
- Maintain and develop client base through various business development efforts.
- Prepare RFP type proposal responses including project write-ups, resumes, etc.
- Visit construction sites to monitor progress and perform duties as per contract documents.
- Check all technical work for accuracy.
- Work well independently and as part of an experienced team.
- Take an active lead in the proposal for work process. Identify prospective clients and establish relationships with those clients.
- Deal directly with clients/owners to determine specific project needs.
- Be responsible for the total mechanical systems design for specific projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- P.E. preferred, not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Revit experience
- 10+ years of design/engineering consulting experience
