Position Overview
As a Senior Environmental Consultant with a focus on environmental remediation, you will provide expertise in assessing and remediating contaminated sites, including conducting environmental investigations, feasibility studies, and developing remedial action plans. You will collaborate with internal teams, clients, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead environmental remediation projects from assessment to final implementation, including managing budgets, timelines, and resources.
Conduct site assessments, soil and groundwater investigations, risk assessments, and feasibility studies.
Develop remedial action plans and strategies, ensuring compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and proposals for clients and regulatory agencies.
Provide senior-level technical guidance to junior staff and mentor the next generation of environmental professionals.
Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to environmental remediation.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on environmental remediation and site investigations.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Strong knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations, including CERCLA, RCRA, and state-specific remediation guidelines.
Proven experience in managing and executing complex environmental remediation projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality technical reports and deliver presentations.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Geologist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, etc.) are a plus.
