Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $120,000-$150,000

Job Description

As a Senior Civil Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing, assisting, and overseeing design, reporting, and planning for residential, commercial, and public development projects. You will work closely with senior leadership, serve as the primary client interface, and direct the work of technical staff. Your role will involve demonstrating strong leadership, mentoring junior engineers, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining excellent client relationships to boost market share and profitability.

Reports to: Senior Vice President

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage design and technical staff
  • Develop and initiate new business opportunities
  • Coordinate handoffs between internal departments
  • Identify and acquire necessary project resources
  • Define project-related responsibilities to maximize resources
  • Manage project budgets, including billing and cash flow projections
  • Ensure proper documentation and monitoring of projects
  • Schedule projects
  • Market to new clients
  • Manage client relationships
  • Site grading, road design, stormwater, sewer, and water conveyance system design
  • TESC system design
  • Land entitlement and site layout
  • Prepare specifications, SOQs, and proposals

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to work with engineering staff at all levels and interact with clients, jurisdictional staff, and technical staff
  • Solution-oriented problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bluebeam software
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, ethical, and dependable
  • Excellent rapport with management and co-workers, positive attitude, and strong customer service skills

Education and Experience

  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; MS or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of related engineering and design experience
  • At least 12 years of civil/planning project management experience
  • Private project experience required
  • Washington State PE License required; multi-state licensure beneficial
  • PMP certification beneficial
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
