Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth initiatives across key sectors in the Southeast Asia (SEA) region. This role will focus on developing strategic partnerships, expanding market share, and identifying new business opportunities within the water treatment and specialty chemicals space.

The ideal candidate has a strong commercial mindset, a deep understanding of water treatment and process chemicals, and the ability to engage with key decision-makers across industrial and municipal sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Growth Strategy: Develop and implement business development plans to drive revenue growth across SEA.
  • Key Account Development: Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in industries such as pulp & paper, municipal water, industrial processing, and oil & gas.
  • Market Expansion: Identify new opportunities and lead market penetration efforts in emerging and high-growth segments.
  • Solution Selling: Work closely with technical teams to provide tailored water treatment and specialty chemical solutions to clients.
  • Partnership & Channel Development: Collaborate with distributors, industry partners, and internal teams to expand reach and maximize sales.
  • Market Intelligence & Strategy: Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to stay ahead of market shifts.
  • Sales Performance & Reporting: Deliver accurate forecasts, pipeline reports, and strategic insights to senior management.

Requirements

  • Industry Experience: 15+ years in business development, sales, or commercial roles within the water treatment, specialty chemicals, or industrial process solutions sectors.
  • Technical & Commercial Expertise: Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, specialty chemicals, and their industrial applications.
  • Regional Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the SEA market, key industries, and regulatory landscape.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage with senior decision-makers, technical teams, and procurement leaders.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English; additional SEA languages (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa, Thai) are a plus.
  • Willingness to Travel: Regional travel as required.
