We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Architectural Project Manager to lead and manage Higher Education projects from concept to completion. Based in Richmond, VA, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work on impactful educational facilities, collaborating with colleges and universities to design spaces that inspire learning and innovation. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in architectural design and project management, with a passion for creating dynamic and functional learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of architectural projects for Higher Education clients, ensuring design intent, quality, and functionality align with client goals.
- Lead project teams, coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Facilitate design and documentation processes, including concept development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular project updates, presentations, and reports.
- Ensure projects comply with building codes, ADA requirements, and university standards.
- Mentor and provide leadership to junior team members, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Maintain strong relationships with higher education clients, establishing a trusted partnership for future projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- 8+ years of professional experience in architectural design and project management, with a focus on Higher Education projects.
- Strong proficiency in design and documentation software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining design quality and schedule adherence.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Deep understanding of building codes, ADA standards, and higher education facility guidelines.
- Architectural licensure preferred.
- LEED accreditation is a plus.
