Operations Manager
Job Summary: This role reports directly to the Managing Director and involves collaboration across all aspects of the business, ensuring the business operates effectively and is meeting strategic targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the commercial team, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely and effective delivery of products and plant equipment.
- Management of inventory and product tracking.
- Assessing the viability of barcoding/labelling software updates.
- Ensuring compliance with and management of relevant company certifications, such as ISO 9001.
- Periodic examination of relevant regulations, ensuring company compliance across countries of operation.
- Working across departments to ensure that training (including HR) is up to date.
- Assisting the executive team to meet various deadlines and complete tasks.
- Ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations on site.
- Working with different team members to ensure budgeting is managed effectively.
- Ensuring workflow systems are managed effectively across all departments.
- Asset management system creation and tracking.
- Creating and adhering to the warehouse operating budget, including staffing.
- Supporting warehouse equipment installation/upgrade project management.
General Responsibilities:
- Contribute to continuous improvements and enhancements of existing systems and processes that support the business.
- Work with all staff to devise systems and policies that support company goals.
- Adhere to all Health, Safety, Environment & Quality legislation, policies, and procedures at all times, and report hazards and incidents as they occur.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of relevant processes and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
