Geotechnical Engineer Position
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Evaluation: Plan, estimate, and conduct subsurface investigations and laboratory testing programs in soil and rock.
- Technical Analysis: Perform geotechnical analyses and design for tunnels, foundations, embankments, pavements, and earth retaining systems.
- Documentation: Prepare geotechnical memoranda, data and design reports, and design drawings and specifications.
- Collaboration: Interact confidently with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, drillers, and clients.
- Support During Construction: Provide geotechnical support during construction phases.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of geotechnical experience.
- Certification: Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
