Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Geotechnical Branch Manager to lead our expansion efforts in Tallahassee. This role is ideal for a seller-doer with extensive knowledge of the local market, strong industry contacts, and a proven track record of client engagement. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating the growth of our newly acquired geotechnical engineering firm, driving business development, and overseeing branch operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Leverage your extensive network and knowledge of the local market to identify and secure new business opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
- Branch Management: Oversee all branch operations, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of geotechnical services. Manage a team of engineers and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Project Oversight: Lead and manage geotechnical projects from proposal through completion, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
- Client Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Provide technical expertise and support to clients throughout project lifecycles.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive branch growth and profitability. Monitor market trends and adjust strategies to stay competitive.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work complies with industry standards, regulations, and company quality assurance protocols.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage the branch budget, optimizing resources and controlling costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of geotechnical engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a management or leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of the Tallahassee market and strong industry contacts.
- Proven track record of business development and client engagement.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
