Job Description: They are seeking a talented Forensic Engineer to become part of their dynamic team. In this role, you will investigate and analyze failures in structures, materials, or systems to determine the causes of accidents, malfunctions, or damages. Your expertise will be crucial in providing insights and reports for legal or insurance cases.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new building enclosure systems.
- Assess and design repairs for existing enclosure systems.
- Conduct reviews to evaluate air infiltration, rainwater control, heat transfer, and vapor transmission.
- Perform building performance analysis, including daylighting, solar heat gain, and thermal energy transfer.
- Collaborate with architects and contractors to develop high-performance details.
- Prepare technical presentations and proposals for clients.
- Conduct field investigations and non-destructive testing.
- Prepare construction documents and oversee the installation of repairs/designs.
- Write assessment reports and maintain detailed project documentation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- 7+ years of experience in building enclosure design, review, and assessments.
- Proficiency in CADD and building performance modeling software.
- Strong technical background and excellent communication skills.
- Experience with exterior wall systems, roofing assemblies, and building science concepts.
