Job Summary: Seeking a Surveyor-in-Training that will assist in conducting land surveys and preparing survey documents under the supervision of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor. This role involves both fieldwork and office tasks, including data collection, analysis, and drafting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting field surveys using various surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and levels.
- Collect and record survey data, including measurements and descriptive information.
- Process data collected via GPS technology to obtain necessary results.
- Prepare survey documents and maps using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Conduct research on land records and survey markers.
- Set up and operate surveying instruments and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during fieldwork.
- Collaborate with survey team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Assist in preparing reports and documentation for survey projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field preferred.
- Surveyor-in-Training (S.I.T.) certification required.
- Experience with surveying instruments and CAD software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license.
