Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Project Manager with a specialized focus on Brownfield redevelopment to join their dynamic team in Grand Rapids, United States. Position Overview:

The Environmental Project Manager will be responsible for managing Brownfield Redevelopment projects from their initial phases through to completion. This includes overseeing all technical aspects to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and community groups, to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage the technical dimensions of environmental projects, specifically focusing on Brownfield sites. This includes planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of projects.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including local government agencies, contractors, and community organizations, to ensure project goals are met and compliance with environmental regulations is maintained.
  • Technical Oversight: Address all project-related technical requirements effectively and within designated timelines. Ensure that all technical aspects of the projects are executed to the highest standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant environmental regulations and standards. Stay updated on changes in environmental laws and regulations that may impact project execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Monitor and report on project progress and any issues that arise.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of experience managing the technical aspects of environmental or related engineering projects. Experience with Brownfield redevelopment is highly desirable.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in handling the technical dimensions of Brownfield redevelopment and environmental engineering. Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards is essential.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage comprehensive projects from start to finish. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of environmental engineering principles and practices, particularly related to Brownfield redevelopment.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
