Job Title: Design Professional
Location: Charlotte, NC | Asheville, NC
Salary: $75k - $85k
Key Responsibilities:
- Create architectural plans and renderings
- Review and coordinate conceptual designs from various disciplines
- Take charge of specific technical design aspects of assigned projects, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions
- Handle specific portions of assignments for medium to large-scale projects
- Offer consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large, complex projects
- Perform code research and analysis
- Work collaboratively with engineers, consultants, contractors, and clients
- Address issues from contractors, consultants, and clients, and develop solutions
- Manage complex assignments requiring the development of new techniques and procedures
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and respond to RFIs
- Conduct construction administration duties
- Assist with business development activities as needed
- Help with specifications as assigned
- Perform other duties as directed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience as a Design Professional
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit software
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel software
- Strong understanding of building technology fundamentals
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new ideas and concepts
- Strong interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of IDP/AXP hours
- Previous internship experience is a plus
- Master's degree in Architecture
- Experience with Newforma Project Center and/or Newforma Project Analyzer
- Experience with Microsoft Project
- Experience with Bluebeam PDF Revu
