Transportation Project Manager
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Project Manager to join their mid-sized civil engineering firm in Lawrence, MA. Responsibilities:
- Lead transportation engineering projects from initial planning stages through to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D software for detailed design and project visualization, creating accurate and comprehensive plans that meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough site assessments and feasibility studies to determine the best approaches for project execution.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and community representatives, to ensure smooth project progression and address any concerns or issues that arise.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines, making adjustments as necessary to stay on track and within financial constraints.
- Ensure all projects comply with applicable regulations and standards, including environmental, safety, and zoning laws.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to clients and stakeholders, providing updates on project status and highlighting key milestones and achievements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States, demonstrating a high level of expertise and commitment to the field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil or transportation engineering, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Civil 3D is highly advantageous, allowing for advanced design capabilities and project visualization.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, providing a strong foundation in engineering principles and practices. A PTOE certification (Professional Traffic Operations Engineer) is a plus but not required, indicating specialized knowledge in traffic operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, ensuring that all aspects of the project are thoroughly considered and executed.
