Position: Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Overview: The Senior Electrical Engineer will leverage their expertise to design electrical engineering concepts that align with project visions. This role requires a solid understanding of the consulting engineering process and would preferably be completed by someone with project experience related to aviation, office, or healthcare, but this is not required.
Responsibilities:
- Define project scope and create electrical system designs using software programs.
- Develop cost-effective system layouts, specifications, and ensure code compliance.
- Prepare and coordinate BIM drawings across all project phases.
- Perform construction administration tasks such as site observations and shop drawing reviews.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients, partners, architects, and other professionals.
- Mentor less experienced electrical engineers/designers.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering management and design of commercial buildings.
- At least 7 years of experience leading multi-discipline engineering teams.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP and other engineering software.
- Strong technical/computer skills including Microsoft O365.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to prepare original specifications and project manuals.
- Experience with cost containment and reduction approaches.
