Location: Towson, MD (Greater Baltimore Area)
Type: Full-Time, Hybrid Work Environment
Compensation: $105,000-$130,000 (based on experience) + overtime pay + bonus + benefits

My client, a well-established and highly regarded MEP engineering firm based in Baltimore, is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. With over 125 years of engineering excellence, my client is known for delivering innovative, sustainable solutions across a wide range of project types including government, healthcare, education, and historic preservation.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer who is ready to take the next step in their career. You'll play a key role in the design and coordination of electrical systems for a variety of building projects, working within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and layout of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems

  • Perform engineering calculations and prepare construction documents

  • Coordinate with internal MEP teams and external architects/clients

  • Conduct site surveys, attend client meetings, and provide construction administration support

  • Support QA/QC efforts and contribute to project delivery best practices

  • Stay current with applicable codes and sustainable design trends

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in MEP consulting

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and power system analysis tools (e.g., SKM, ETAP)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and applicable building codes

Preferred Qualifications

  • EIT required; PE license or ability to obtain within 12-18 months preferred

  • Experience with education, government, or healthcare projects a plus

  • Familiarity with LEED or other sustainability rating systems
