Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Geotechnical Project Manager to lead and manage geotechnical projects within the oil and gas, electrical transmission, and chemical industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering, with specific experience in drilling operations and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage geotechnical projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Conduct site investigations, including drilling and sampling, to assess soil and rock properties.
- Develop and implement geotechnical solutions for complex industrial projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, geologists, and environmental scientists.
- Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for business development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a focus on the oil and gas, electrical transmission, or chemical industries.
- Proven experience in drilling operations and site investigations.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software and tools.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
