The Role
Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Environmental Planner & Project Manager to lead complex projects that balance environmental stewardship with smart development. This role combines technical expertise in CEQA/NEPA compliance with strong leadership and client engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multidisciplinary environmental planning projects from initiation through completion.
- Prepare, review, and oversee environmental documentation (e.g., EIRs, EISs, IS/MNDs) in compliance with CEQA/NEPA.
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, subconsultants, and internal teams.
- Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Lead public engagement efforts, including community meetings and stakeholder outreach.
- Stay up-to-date with environmental policy changes and help clients navigate regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in environmental planning, including CEQA/NEPA compliance.
- Proven project management experience, preferably in California-based projects.
- Strong understanding of land use planning, permitting processes, and agency coordination.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- AICP, PMP, or other relevant certifications a plus.
