Salary Range: $165-200k (dependent on experience)

A nationally recognized, employee-owned planning, engineering, and environmental consulting firm is seeking a Vice President to help lead its growing Community Development and Infrastructure division in Colorado Springs. Role Overview:
As a VP, you will work closely with the Director to oversee planning, entitlements, and civil engineering projects throughout the greater Colorado Springs area. You will lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers, landscape architects, surveyors, and construction professionals, while driving business development, project management excellence, and integration of company values across the business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee entitlement and permitting processes for developers, property owners, and end users.

  • Collaborate with leadership on operational and financial planning for the business unit.

  • Expand client relationships across residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal sectors.

  • Conduct site development research, prepare reports, create conceptual site plans, and coordinate design activities.

  • Mentor and support the professional growth of early-career staff.

  • Lead the preparation of major proposals and statements of qualification.

  • Ensure strong project management, client communication, and technical execution across projects.

  • Monitor key performance indicators, including backlog, pipeline, profitability, accounts receivable, and staff utilization.

  • Support strategic pursuits in collaboration with colleagues across multiple business units and regions.

  • Champion quality control efforts and uphold the firm's reputation for excellence.

  • Actively contribute to professional and civic organizations within the community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Planning, or a related field.

  • Professional licensure in Colorado as a Professional Engineer (PE)

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in community development (land planning, entitlements, civil engineering, or similar areas).

  • At least 5 years of experience in business development and leadership roles within the Greater Colorado Springs market.

  • At least 5 years of experience managing and mentoring professional teams.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
