An established, high-growth clean energy platform is seeking a Vice President of Construction to lead nationwide deployment of distributed generation (DG) and utility-scale solar and storage projects. Backed by long-term capital and a vertically integrated operating model, this company is driving meaningful change in how clean energy is built, delivered, and scaled across the U.S.

This is a rare opportunity to take the helm of a well-resourced and mission-driven team, overseeing the full lifecycle of project execution-from pre-construction planning to field operations and final energization. What You'll Do

  • Set the strategic vision for solar and storage construction across multiple markets, aligning technical execution with national business objectives

  • Lead and scale a best-in-class construction organization, built on a foundation of safety, efficiency, innovation, and performance

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, engineering, policy, procurement, legal, and finance teams to deliver projects on time and under budget

  • Oversee the transition from development through deployment, ensuring seamless handoffs, pricing approvals, and executional clarity

  • Drive construction excellence across permitting, interconnection, workforce compliance, contract management, and IRA-aligned labor requirements

  • Cultivate strong relationships with contractors, regulators, and key market stakeholders in both existing and emerging regions

  • Champion a culture of safety and quality, in partnership with the Environmental Health & Safety team

  • Provide clear, senior-level reporting to executive leadership on construction milestones, risks, and financial performance


What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in solar and/or storage construction at the DG or utility scale, ideally in both field and strategic leadership roles

  • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional teams across multiple geographies

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or a technical field required; advanced degree preferred

  • Deep familiarity with project delivery from development through commissioning, including hands-on experience with contracts (EPC, equipment, labor), permitting, and quality systems

  • Experience in high-growth, high-accountability environments where you've built and led teams through scale

  • Ability to develop strategy and execute tactically-balancing soft skills, financial acumen, and operational expertise

  • A passion for renewable energy and a commitment to building something that lasts
