Senior Transportation Engineer

We have a current opportunity for a Clarkston/Kennewick Transportation PMs on a permanent basis.

We are looking for a Senior Transportation Project Manager to oversee and manage transportation projects in Washington. This role involves leading project teams, providing technical expertise, and ensuring successful project delivery. The selected candidate will report to the Area Manager and support clients and projects in specific districts.

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate project teams from initiation to close-out.
  • Provide technical expertise in construction management for transportation projects.
  • Oversee project documentation and controls.
  • Develop and manage project scope, schedule, budget, and contracts.
  • Monitor project finances and make necessary adjustments.
  • Attend progress meetings and assess risks and schedule impacts.
  • Ensure effective communication with the team, clients, and supervisors.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and coach staff.
  • Assist in staff development and market sector growth.

Business Development Responsibilities

  • Lead marketing and business development activities.
  • Track opportunities and develop strategies to secure them.
  • Assist in decision-making on proposals.
  • Develop partnering and teaming strategies.
  • Lead proposal development with support from the team.
  • Expand market presence through collaboration.
  • Collaborate with engineers and public agencies on projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Current Washington PE license or ability to obtain one within three months
  • Minimum of 10 years of transportation engineering experience
  • Experience with relevant authorities required
  • Proven ability to manage project schedules and deliverables
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • IQP and WAQTC certification are desired but not required

Salary Range:
$125,000-$180,000 depending on experience.
