Our regional powerhouse client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Transportation Engineer to join their team in Detroit, Michigan. The role involves planning, designing, and overseeing highway design projects for the Department of Transportation (DOT) and local municipalities. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Strong technical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage highway design projects from concept to completion.
- Perform road design and transportation planning.
- Ensure projects meet regulatory standards and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and government agencies.
- Monitor project progress, budget, and quality control.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Michigan Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in highway design and transportation planning.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
